The Business Development & Marketing/Communications Manager manages staff, clients, consultants, and situations involving high stress and deadline pressure. Requires multitasking skills and being able to juggle priorities, while keeping staff motivated and focused on the task at hand.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and natural leader with experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry.
Although not extensive, some travel as well as evening and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Seek business opportunities for firm
• May make commitments for firm with direction from superiors
• Track BD opportunities via CRM
• Research and gather information on potential clients and projects
• Schedule meetings with new/existing clients to discover project information
• Develop and maintain strong business network
• Work with technical staff to develop proposals
• Actively involved in professional and community organizations
• Write resumes, boilerplate information, project descriptions, etc.
• Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections and scopes of work
• Update social media information
• Update Web site information
• Coordinate specialized consultants (photographers, PR, etc.)
• Plan and coordinate special events
• Create/manage internal Pulice communication pieces
• Award submissions
• Represent Pulice to clients, peer organizations, and business associates
• Assist in establishing programs to accomplish marketing-related aspects of the corporate mission
• Assist with marketing plan development
  
  

Skill Set:

• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and delivery methods
• Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals
• Proficient with word processing software (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Proficient with desktop publishing software (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Organizational skills, multi-tasking
• Detail oriented
• Keen eye for graphic design
• Familiarity with CRM Systems (Coessential preferred but not required)
• Excellent time management skills
• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures
• Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files
• Understanding of basic marketing principles
• Technical writing

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with 4 to 7 years of experience recommended
• Without a degree, 6 to 10 years of relevant A/E/C experience required
• Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPRSM) credential highly desired
• Heavy Civil Construction experience
• APMP certifications and/or continued education in proposal related subjects is preferred years of relevant A/E/C experience required
