Position Summary:

Reporting to store sales managers, with support from the CRM Manager and Director of Marketing, the BDR generates business primarily from the local market. This is accomplished by utilizing the CRM Opportunity tool and by harvesting and generating leads through Facebook and Craigslist.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Learn, use, and adapt to the existing BDR system and procedures to generate new leads for the sales team & create opportunities for previous in store customers that have not purchased yet.
  2. Generate leads through text, email, Facebook, Contact at Once, and phone calls.
  3. Use CAMP Inventory Matchmaker to match incoming inventory with potential buyers.
  4. When a match for an opportunity is found, share the match with the sales team and ensure the customer is contacted to invite them into the store.
  5. Log each customer interaction into the BDR Log spreadsheet via Excel.
  6. Build relationship with Sales Team by walking through units with them, email correspondence, manufacturer training, and morning meetings.
  7. Work with sales managers and business development teammates to gain an understanding of how to address and work leads, which will increase the chances of setting appointments and driving traffic that will lead to sales.
  8. Assign generated leads through email correspondence with sales managers and sales staff.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  1. Competitive edge and desire to win
  2. Outgoing personality with ability to connect with potential buyers in order to generate leads.
  3. Customer service experience.
  4. Business Development Representative or sales experience desired.
  5. Office experience desired.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:

  1. Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, to help build a relationship and create a positive experience between General RV Center and the potential buyer.
  2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  3. Database experience that allows the ability to organize and collect information to track progress.
  4. Able to build relationships with internal and external partners.
