"The Nest" Business Operations plays a critical role within Enrollment Management, impacting 'Cane Success, Student Financial Assistance and Employment, Marketing, International Student Scholar Services, and Undergraduate Admissions. This person provides key customer interface and day to day work direction to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence. This position is highly responsible professional work providing administrative and operational support to the Business Operations department and Enrollment Management. A Team member in this position is responsible for resolving student, perspective student and their families' complaints and team members concerns, assist in the preparation of reports, computer inventory, processing expense, telecom and IT request, preparing documentations and scheduling conference room space. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment and discretion in carrying out daily activities adhering to policies and procedures. Assists in the development, organization, production and evaluation of a variety of Business Operations processes and training program opportunities. Assists in the monitoring of financial performance to meet departmental goals, and assists with short- and long-range budgetary planning.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Trains, develops and empowers front desk team members to effectively perform their jobs; confers with and advises staff, students and others, providing technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and department goals and policy interpretations.
  • Prioritizes service, assigns personnel and follows up on business operations.
  • Develops cooperative/therapeutic relationships with students, perspective students and families representing a variety of populations, projecting a positive and cooperative image; creates a calm, professional atmosphere that promotes productivity and a positive image.
  • Identifies and reports any quality or compliance concerns and takes immediate corrective action.
  • Resolves issues with equipment, planned maintenance (PM), safety inspections, adheres to policies, procedures with required documentation and communication.
  • Acts as a main point of contact for United Way, advisors, speakers and participants; recruits program participants, members and volunteers.
  • Assists with the development of reports, dashboards and other required documentation by agencies having jurisdiction and Board of Trustees.
  • Assists with the development and revisions of policies and procedures for the general operations of Enrollment Management Business Operations as it relates to Customer service, Facilities & Safety.
  • Assist in design, layout and writing of the Business Process Flow Charts.
  • Assists with the coordination of updating content for the EM Business Operations website.
  • Coordinates and supports all activities for the Enrollment Management sponsored programs and activities.
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings and assists to resolve problems.
  • Accountable for maintenance of established supply levels, including but not limited to office supplies, breakroom supplies and computer refresh program.
  • Enters PO requests in Workday.
  • Enters business reports for division in Workday.
  • In charge of United Way Fundraising and keep up with candy inventory and new ways to help raise money.
  • Responsible for supervising and training three students' employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Budget responsibilities: No, Assists in the monitoring of financial performance to meet departmental goals, and assists with short- and long-range budgetary planning.

Salary Range: $15-17/h

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must possess excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills, organizational and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle high-stress environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Suite (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent resort data.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of all Enrollment Management programs rules regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and work at rapid pace.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate program operations.
  • Must maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):
  • One year of progressive experience.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
