The Business Planning Leader will be an integral part of the Breast Leadership team, reporting directly into the Franchise Head for Breast Cancer. The BPL is responsible for maximizing operations and integrating field and marketing efforts. The selected candidate will work in close partnership with other members of the Breast cross-functional team as well as other business functions. As needed, the Business Planning Leader will also lead/manage key Breast planning, business activities and/or meetings.

This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus and will work predominately in the office. This location is headquarters for the US Oncology and the Oncology Business Unit. The Gaithersburg site offers various amenities to help boost efficiency and help keep our employees happy and healthy. This is where you'll find newly-designed, activity-based workspaces to suit a variety of working styles while strengthening collaboration between teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership role accountable for operations within the Breast Franchise, partnering closely with Franchise Head on key priorities
  • Serve as key liaison between Marketing and Sales teams, and lead critical operational processes affecting the field force (e.g., FSIP planning)
  • Lead development of annual scorecard/goals and creation of dashboard to track progress against key objectives
  • Lead planning processes, ensuring that all tools are well understood and effectively utilized by team members and that key milestones are met, including budget-related milestones
  • Manage & socialize a rolling 12- month breast calendar in order to optimize
  • Plan monthly Leadership Team meetings including scheduling, agenda/content preparation, facilitation, documentation, etc.
  • Lead franchise efforts to support positive culture and strong engagement partnering closely with Sales and Marketing leaders
  • Manage team priorities across the franchise and within the marketing and sales leadership teams
    • Meeting planning leadership for national sales meetings as well as off-site meeting
    • Evolve and manage Business Excellence communications, including weekly update emails
    • Creation and management of communication plans for key priorities and in support of strong franchise engagement
    • Inspire, engage and motivate the team with both non-financial and financial methods
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous pharmaceutical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions and lead without formal authority
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), organizational, relationship building, and consulting skills
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency using Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical business (including development and operations)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions and lead without formal authority
  • Strong interpersonal, communication PLUS consulting skills
  • 3+ years of Pharmaceutical experience, preferably including Sales and/or Marketing experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Matrixed communication skills, with ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex constructs
