Summary:
Works under the direction of a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist to configure clinical applications to support patient safety and expedite pharmaceutical services. A primary focus will be the build and maintenance of medication related order sets with special emphasis on chemotherapy order sets. This position also Supports the IT needs of various business units while ensuring that technology solutions and systems align with the needs and objectives of the business and organization; works closely with business owners and IT team members to assess, document business processes/requirements, recommends process improvements and documents system processes; performs routine and intermediate software design, configuration, testing and support activities for a wide range of software applications; participates in vendor analysis and selection.

Starting salary for this position is $83,550 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time computer systems or business systems analyst experience; or
3. Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time computer systems or business systems analyst experience; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time computer systems or business systems analyst experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have experience working with clinical applications. Knowledge of Allscripts EHR is a plus, understanding of the build process for order sets is preferred but not required, they will also have knowledge of Healthcare IT, Pharmacy workflows, an understanding of Information Security best practices and prior programming knowledge. They will also be experienced with test plans/procedures, have excellent technical writing skills and experience in requirements gathering.
