Summary

Based out of the Materion Leesport Pennsylvania facility, this position will provide technical leadership and manage the execution of multiple projects. Reporting to the Vice President Operational Transformation, the Capital Project Engineer (CPE) role will be an engineering and technical resource for the current large capital project and future projects at the Leesport, PA facility. This take-charge project engineer shall have a proven track record of leading projects and be Materion's representative by providing strong customer focus, building collaboration with site and other functional groups, approaching deliverables with a sense of urgency, and driving design, construction, management, and execution of small to large capital projects to successful completion.

• Manages project scope, schedules, finances, risks, and resources to meet project objectives
• Works with operations/maintenance to improve equipment and processes.
• Plans and leads capital projects/programs with the ability to build and lead effective internal and external project teams including the management of contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers
• Monitors project budget and resource usage, where appropriate, with accurate spending forecast.
• Defines scope, deliverables, success criteria and key metrics of the project in conjunction with site personnel and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinates with and influences cross-functional teams with competing goals to gain alignment to the overall project plan and initiatives.
• Makes effective presentations of technical material to non-technical people, both written and verbal. Prepares project reports/presentations for management reviews.

Requirements:

• B.S. - Engineering discipline
• Project Management experience - at least 5 years required
• Manufacturing Environment experience - 10 years preferred
• Metals manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong communications and presentation skills
• Total Years of Relevant Experience - 4 years or more
