This role is remote eligible. We are open to hiring this role in all states except California.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Card Risk Manager for REPAY will be an organized, motivated, and creative individual who has a strong background in analytic review work, experience in managing a Risk department in the Payment Processing space, and a demonstrated ability to show attention to small details. The candidate should be comfortable working independently for many hours at a time with minimal distraction. In addition, the candidate should have an expertise in the payment processing industry as well as experience in Chargebacks as well as Risk Review for debit and/or credit card processing. Position will initially have two direct reports and candidate should be comfortable interacting with senior management, peers and customers and be able to adjust their communication style appropriately for different audiences. Some travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as principal leader of all Risk related initiatives, projects and resources.

• Drive production improvement and efficiency goals for Risk department

• Coordinate with ancillary departments such as Merchant Due Diligence (Underwriting) and Compliance to ensure policies and procedures are calibrated.

• Completing risk-related periodic review and prepare reporting for upper management.

• Assisting with preparation and administration of internal and external audits

• Documenting and archive actions and assist with data-mining tasks

• Creating and maintain risk-related policies and procedures

• Managing team to ensure effective transactional, batch and authorization volume monitoring is completed for merchant portfolio(s) and anomalies are identified.

• Identifying (and managing team's review of) trending behavior and take swift action to define, document and (if necessary) prevent behavior from negative impact to business because of fraud or negligence, including completion of Root Cause and Risk Exposure analysis.

• Communicating with merchants via email and phone to resolve risk-related questions or to clarify questionable activity.

• Documenting and archive actions

• Participating in webinars or on-site classes to enhance existing knowledge and stay abreast of industry-specific changes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• 5+ years of experience engaged in payment processing with emphasis on Risk policy/monitoring, exposure analysis and chargeback analysis.

• Experience and knowledge with transaction monitoring systems (e.g. TSYS, TriSource)

• Experience and knowledge of Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) principals and guidelines for Underwriting and Risk Management

• 3+ years of experience with customer service principles and practices

• Experience in reviewing and analyzing individual and corporate financial data, KYC/KYCC documentation

• Knowledge of Risk Types (e.g., Credit, Compliance, Fraud, Operational, Strategic, Legal and Reputational Risk)

• Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, including BSA/AML obligations, Regulation E, UDAAP/UDAP and OFAC

• Ability to interact cordially and efficiently with customer base

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills

• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices (e.g. Salesforce)

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel proficiency)

• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
