Advertised Job Summary:Assist with the renovation of buildings from blueprints with limited supervision, including demolition and restoration. Build new walls from both metal or wood materials as indicated on architectural drawings. This includes, but is not limited to the specific characteristics assigned to the 5 levels of finished grade. Performs all work in accordance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations to include the International Building Code (IBC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. This also includes all National Fire Code requirements related to fire protection in building envelops and all penetrations and specific assemblies of a variety of wall systems and materials.
High School Diploma and 2 years of experience; or accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and no prior work experience.
Driver's License required.
Must maintain considerable knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in building maintenance and construction. Must maintain knowledge and skill of the techniques and methods used in the carpentry trade. Must have knowledge for proper use of equipment and tools of the carpentry industry.
