Schedule and Level of Effort:

Full-time, 40 hours a week in DAI's Bethesda, MD office with potential for remote work.

The Center for Digital Acceleration (CDA) helps our clients-businesses, governments, and foundations-integrate digital tools and approaches across their portfolios through research, design, digital product development, data analysis, and project management. Roles and Responsibilities:

The Products Intern is responsible for assisting the DAI Center for Digital Acceleration, Products team with all duties required in support of business functions related to product development and strategic planning. We are a team of industry specialists who build purpose-driven products that tackle the real challenges of today and unlock new opportunities for tomorrow.

This internship will provide an opportunity to design and develop products that help tackle one of the most pressing challenges humanity is facing today, climate change. The intern will help to strategize innovative solutions that address these problems and fall under our emerging Climate Technology portfolio. This includes helping our team design and plan solutions work with product and customer functions to identify business and technical features and requirements. The intern will be exposed to the new business functions and topics of digital development within international development, gain research qualifications, and support the development of a product pipeline, among other opportunities.

Key Areas of Focus for this Role:

  • Research:
    • Review and study the Climate Tech international market.
    • Support activities and initiatives including strategy development, market research, and public outreach.
    • Conduct desk research to assist CDA in preparing to bid on future funding opportunities, such as preparing summaries of reports and attending events on relevant topics to share takeaways with team.
  • Communications/New Business Development:
    • Coordinate and schedule new business meetings.
    • Collaborate with other CDA teams to develop new business promotional materials for the Climate Tech Work. This may include: external and internal communication materials, press releases and articles.
    • Participate in relevant events and other outreach activities.
  • Participate or collaborate with the Climate Tech Learning Circle.
  • Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current University Student, enrolled as full or part-time, at any degree level (undergraduate or graduate) with preference given to those studying climate, environment, or related field.
  • Academic or professional experience in climate or climate policy.
  • Interest in climate, environment, sustainable business and digital technology.
  • Experience with conducting research.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams on complex tasks.
