Position Details:

The Marketing Operations Specialist is a process-driven professional with a passion for data, metrics, and reporting, and an eye for operational efficiency and scalability. The role is responsible for assisting in the development, management, and execution of operational processes and tasks in support of market awareness, lead generation, lead nurturing, reporting, and measurement. Successful candidates will require a unique blend of marketing strategy and operations experience, ability to influence others, agility, collaboration, and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Automation and Campaign Execution

  • Collaborate with the global marketing teams to build best-in-class processes and campaigns, with a focus on customer segmentation, campaign execution and performance, automation, and lead generation strategies
  • Assist in the definition and management of all marketing related technologies and their appropriate integration
  • Work directly with field and product marketing to execute campaigns including nurture flows, multi-touch programs, and re-engagement
  • Collaborate with channel and product marketing to create emails, landing pages, and forms within the marketing tools, including templates for use by others within the marketing function
  • Manage the lead scoring model and collaborate with marketing leadership on the continued optimization of the lead management process, ensuring timely distribution of marketing qualified leads and that lead routing rules reflect current sales team structure

Data Strategy

  • Own the marketing database including data imports and clean up, list segmentation, subscription management, and reporting
  • Aggregate and analyze data to help optimize key personas for lead nurturing program
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of data through data cleanliness & data governance efforts; improve data quality results by identifying and determining best practices, system improvements and new technologies

Measurement and Reporting

  • Assist management in the definition of global marketing measurement approach, global KPIs, and Marketing scorecard(s)
  • Develop and refine existing processes and systems to collect and analyze demand generation plan details, expectations, and reporting of results
  • Responsible for reporting campaign results and database health, and providing insight and suggestions
  • Define, analyze, and create campaign analytics reports to demonstrate marketing effectiveness and impact on business results; drive actions to optimize effectiveness in planning and decision making
  • Translate analytics into business insights and make recommendations to marketing, sales, and sales operations teams on areas to enable more strategic, data-driven business decisions to drive business growth across the entire buy cycle

Operations Support

  • Work closely with sales to develop a feedback process that provides insight into the effectiveness of marketing processes for better lead routing and qualification
  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral and assets that support the overall corporate branding and specific business unit objectives
  • Leverage best practices to optimize our operating model, including sharing internal and external marketing best practices, benchmarking, and driving continuous improvement and efficiencies in marketing processes

Experience & Education:

  • A minimum 5+ years of marketing operations experience, including experience in marketing automation administration, developing, and implementing marketing campaigns
  • Business-to-business (B2B) marketing experience highly desired
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business and/or a related field, or the equivalent work experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in demand creation related activities (email, tradeshows, social marketing, and event marketing)
  • Working knowledge of core Eloqua campaign automation mechanisms as well as Salesforce.com; familiarity with other marketing tools a significant plus
  • Data and metrics driven with experience in creating and designing lead nurturing and lead scoring models
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management, planning, and budgeting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically, generate creative solutions, manage multiple projects, and achieve successful business results rapidly
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, clients, and prospects
