Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Chemical Operator Class III serves a crucial role as a skilled operator of chemical processing equipment. The responsibilities of this role include: distillation processes; pretreatment processes; solution processes; drying processes; and various charging, filtration, and drumming operations.

This position is on 3rd shift - 10:45 pm to 7:15am ET and will be Sunday - Thursday.

This position will require that the successful hire join the union.

Physical Attributes:

  • Walk, stand, bend, and twist, and or lift/reach overhead throughout shift
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 70lbs

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High SchoolDiploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College or vocational credits in Chemistry, Math, or Physics
  • 5+ years' experience in chemical processing
  • Fundamental understanding of Math and Chemistry
  • Experience working third/night shift
  • Ability to learn and apply safe, functional and efficient work practices
  • Experience reading and interpreting material safety data sheets and other pertinent documents relating to safety, customer requirements, and procedures.
  • Ability to thoroughly document batch information legibly and accurately
