The employee is responsible for handling materials, candy, and producing product. The employee must set up, change over, and run lines and/or assist processing employees. This position is also responsible for sanitation, quality, productivity, and safety in their area.

Ways you will make a difference

OPERATIONAL TASKS

• Operate sugar scale system for nerds
  
• Operate equipment to clean and pump liquid from pans.
  
• Operate powered pallet jack (walk lift)
  
• Load bags of sugar into kettles as necessary,
  

o Assist other Tabletors when loading and unloading product from pans using scoops and chutes.

• Move barrels from pallets to drum dollies and to lines that need sugar for nerds
  
• Perform usage/usage correction in GLOBE/SAP
  
• Cover break(s) as needed
  
• Vacuum hoppers in preparation for unloading candy.
  
• Replenish materials (sugar, centers, etc) using Globe/SAP.
  
• Perform inventory at the start/finish of shift to balance inventory.
  
• Maintain clean work area utilizing daily GMP checklists
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL

• Employee shall follow Ferrara's Itasca plant safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately. maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.

QUALITY

• Employee shall follow all required GMP, quality, and food safety requirements. In addition, employees shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of all quality or food safety findings or incidents.

Skills that will make you successful

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English
• Ability to read technical written material and to communicate via written material
• Basic Math Skills and ability to use a calculator
• General knowledge of computers

Experiences that will support your success

• Manufacturing or Warehousing experience
• Food manufacturing experience
• Material and candy handling experience
• Set up, change over, running lines, and producing product experience
• Experience in having responsibilities for sanitation, quality, productivity, and safety in assigned work areas
