Description
SAIC is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to develop, drive, lead, and execute the marketing strategy for the Company. The successful candidate will be an innovative leader with creative, analytical, and strategic acumen coupled with the strong business instincts and team development necessary for leading SAIC’s marketing organization through the next phase of growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
Create and own the go-to-market strategy by setting clear objectives and goals, researching and defining target audiences, developing marketing strategies, creating execution plans, and measuring adoption
Build strategic multi-channel marketing processes to help the team operate as effectively and efficiently as possible, while continuously prioritizing initiatives based on expected outcomes, risk profiles, and resources required
Drive relevant partnerships both internally across the enterprise and externally across industry with clear growth objectives and outcomes
Partner with our business insight experts on quantitative analysis and analytics to assess the performance of our marketing efforts and adjust/course-correct as needed
Lead the feedback dissemination of audience intelligence and data to capability and product development teams
Maintain strong awareness and commitment to continuously self-educate on ad optimization and customer acquisition strategies across new and existing platforms
Evolve corporate brand – drive corporate branding initiatives including a recently launched brand refresh and lead external positioning aligned to strategy
Design and execute marketing strategy and campaigns – set and achieve strategic marketing goals related to campaign development and execution, paid advertising, social media metrics, etc.
Manage external website, content and creative development – to align to strategy, drive brand, attract next gen talent, and tell SAIC stories to our customers
Manage industry analyst relationships to drive positioning, brand, and rankings aligned with strategy and growth agenda
Develop, build, integrate, and manage marketing platforms, to include lead-gen tools, corporate and information sharing website(s), communications inquiries, etc.
Partner with Sectors and Innovation Group to create targeted marketing campaigns that drive strategic captures and build brand reputation within target agencies
Lead, develop and manage the strategy, tactics, and creative direction for all marketing initiatives for the company
Manage the strategy and creation of all external communications, branding, website content, public relations, social media and marketing campaigns with a focus on acquisition and retention strategies
Manage all marketing projects including launches, collateral, customer communications, online campaigns, webinar, websites, and multimedia
Lead, mentor, and motivate the Marketing team to support the growth of the strategic marketing plan; develop efficient concept of operations that support organizational development and greater efficiency in cross-company coordination and prioritization of marketing needs
Work cross-functionally with the business to execute relevant and timely campaigns/collateral/projects to help grow the company, acquire new customers, retain existing customers and assist in identifying new opportunities for SAIC
Work with all business lines to improve profitability and revenue
Full P & L responsibility requiring the ability to work within and monitor strict budgets and goals
Review and enforce brand and corporate messaging guidelines across the company’s website, print and electronic communications
Manage and amplify the company’s integrated marketing and its channels: print, digital, events, social media
Qualifications
18+ years of relevant work experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology companies/products to Federal government technology customers
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study; MBA or a master’s degree preferred
Expert knowledge of creating compelling positioning and marketing content for the federal government contracting market
Proven success managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs with the ability to drive projects to completion and deliver actionable metrics
Understanding of federal government decision-making process and players
The candidate must also be a strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives
Proven ability to integrate teams in support of transformative company growth, staff and talent development
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work independently, and thrive as a member of a team
Demonstrated ability to tie marketing programs to ROI metrics
Proven ability to lead event strategy and execution
