POSITION SUMMARY: This position would actively support the Child and Family Access team to develop and foster relationships with hospitals, manage and respond to hospital referrals, and answer calls from families seeking services at MHCD. The position would be a member of a multi-disciplinary child and family team that provides comprehensive services for children, adolescents and their families. The approach of the team is characterized by being strengths-based, family-centered, culturally competent and community responsive.

SALARY RANGE:

Mental Health Therapist II - $26.04/hr

LCSW/LPC/LMFT - $29.72/hr - $30.22/hr

Licensed Psychologist - $42.25/hr

Spanish Bilingual/ $2.50 hr. differential.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Proficiency in Spanish language required
  • Meet with referring hospital staff to review referral process and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, families and other professionals regarding referrals.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual behavioral health assessments and intakes for hospital referrals. These assessments and intakes may take place in the community and/or at the office.
  • Manage and triage C&F Access incoming phone calls.
  • Assist with completing CYMHTA evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. Current license as a LCSW/LPC/LMFT in the State of Colorado preferred, not required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of experience working with youth with mental health challenges.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Self-directed individual and a team player.
  • Proficiency in Spanish language required
  • Knowledge or ability to learn and implement trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of community and available resources.
  • Ability to work effectively with families using a strengths-based approached.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at partnering with youth and collaterals to meet mental health needs.
  • Flexibility.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

PHYSICAL REQIUREMENTS: Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive a vehicle, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening hours depending on program and consumer needs.
