LKB is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm, based in Syosset, NY, that provides services to municipal and private clients in the tri-state region since 1889. The firm provides comprehensive services in civil, structural, traffic, landscape architecture, environmental, mechanical, and electrical engineering as well as construction services on projects involving transportation infrastructure, structures, utilities, electric power distribution, site development, general public works, and construction inspection and administration.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Potential work tasks may include assisting with and developing the following:

• Roadway/highway alignments design
• Design of roadway pavement markings and signage
• Assist traffic engineers with work zone traffic control design
• Coordination and assisting with design of roadway drainage and utilities
• Assisting with the preparation of reports, specifications, cost estimates and contract plans for construction
• Providing engineering oversight of Junior level staff
• Support and work with Senior Engineers and Project Managers
• Experience working with public agencies

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of (4) years experience in design required
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Experience utilizing civil 3D or Inroads/Open Roads
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Additional Information

The annualized salary range for this role is $85,000 to $120,000 per year.
