Claim Audit Coordinator Job Summary:
This position will primarily perform tasks related to claim audits, standards for accreditation, such as CARF, Third-Party Payer audits, compliance audits, and all projects related to the quality of the information on outbound claim forms.

Education/Licensure/Certification:
This position requires a CPT Certification and/or HIMS/RHIT Degree.
Required Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Revenue Cycle, Common Procedure Terminology Codes, ICD-10 and the associated experience to understand the importance of the codified data presented to a health plan on a claim form. The individual would also have a good understanding and/or undergo training for random sample audit procedures.
The individual will have a general knowledge of healthcare software systems so that the training and education of users may be delivered in a successful manner. This position will also be required to organize audit data in a constructive format.
Experience Required:
This position requires 2 years of work experience in a healthcare setting, in particular, a large health system or outpatient service provider in multiple states. Some experience with internal audit procedures is preferred.
