Ardurra seeks a talented engineer for the role of Client Services Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our team in North Austin, TX area.

Primary Function

In this role, you will serve as Client Services Manager, with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design, with design engineering experience. It’s an exciting opportunity to focus on business growth, project delivery, and ability to leverage your water/wastewater experience and expertise to grow Ardurra’s North Austin business. The ideal candidate will be a seller/doer and work with a team of professional engineers on water, wastewater, design projects including collection and distribution pipelines, pumping stations, water/wastewater treatment facilities, and storage systems. You will also be expected to plan, design, and manage multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater process design and capital improvement projects for municipal clients in the Central Texas Region.

Primary Duties

  • Perform communication and business development duties with current and potential clients
  • Work with members of our Water team to win new business opportunities and develop/lead winning teams
  • Perform technical work ranging from studies/masterplanning to design on water/wastewater projects
  • Manages projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout. Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work of a major project, or several small-moderate scope projects.
  • Perform studies and masterplans for water, wastewater and stormwater projects
  • Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water/wastewater storage and conveyance systems
  • More specific responsibilities include performing or managing engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects
  • Develop proposals as required in response to requests for proposals/qualifications and lead Ardurra in teaming opportunities
  • Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate with the multiple departments and sub-consultants required for multi-discipline projects
  • Ability to create, calibrate, modify, and perform hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems, and interpret and communicate the results to others
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college is required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience required designing and delivering projects in the municipal water and wastewater treatment market sector
  • Professional Engineer’s license in the state of Texas or the ability to gain licensure within 3 months of hire is preferred
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, update the status of existing projects, and develop ongoing new business.
  • Experience in managing production and treatment projects as well and/or experience performing design and construction management of water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure is required
  • Advanced understanding of water treatment/distribution and wastewater collection/ treatment principles and state regulations is required
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and be able to lead or assist a project team to completion of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals is preferred
