Work Hours/Shift:

• Full-time Days, Monday-Friday

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Facilitates new employee and annual education needs assessment and competency program
• May develop programs for specialty or group specific, based on identified educational needs
• Analyzes assessment data to determine the target audience and the learner needs.
• Develops content of educational materials for best-practice or evidence-based practice including but not limited to course outline and curriculum
• Identifies the general purpose and educational objectives for each learning activity as evidenced by clearly defined objectives and purpose for the learning activity
• Evaluates effectiveness of activity and makes appropriate changes to ensure objectives are achieved
• Uses the results of evaluation analysis to make or recommend process or structural changes, including policy, procedure, protocols, or documentation.
• Uses evidence-based data to identify strategies for improving professional development activities and patient outcomes
• Leads a team or committee in the development of an evidence-based protocol, procedure, policy or program.
• Incorporate in person and virtual learning to deliver learning requirements to staff.
• Partner with leaders to support initiatives in professional development
• Facilitates the maintenance and tracking of completions for education/competency requirements

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Associates of Science in Nursing

· Three to five years of clinical experience

· Teaching experience in formal/informal settings

· Knowledge of technology and learner-centered teaching strategies

· MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.

· Experience with Athena, or Epic system preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Experience as a nurse educator
• Experience with Athena, or Epic system
• BSN
• MSN

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

· Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor

Job Summary:

The Clinical Education Coordinator is an RN responsible for planning, teaching and evaluating competency and education programs for clinical staff at Advent Health Medical Group (AHMG). This position will be responsible for new employee competency orientation including developing, implementing and evaluating the program. This position will partner with the AHMG practices to promote and deliver programs that will support increased skill, knowledge and professional development. Provides expertise in the development of educational offerings. Acts as liaison with local clinical programs and provides input as part of the team for positive student experiences. Works alongside the practice leadership and providers to ensure competency validation of the staff.
