Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nutrition Manager plans, schedules, coordinates, and supervises the operations of the pediatric clinical nutrition staff. Primary responsibilities include assigning work to and supervising inpatient and outpatient clinical dietitians; developing standards and monitoring of clinical dietetic performance; reviewing and updating policies and procedures; developing and monitoring performance improvement plans; implementing and maintaining cost control procedures; recruiting, hiring, and orienting staff; interacting with hospital management and professional staff; and maintaining competencies and skills required for professional practice. Responsibilities also include managing a milk bank/formula room and dietetic technicians who do the work.

Licensures and Certifications:

Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required. Licensure (or eligibility to apply for licensure) as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist by the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice is required.

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree is preferred.

Years of Experience and Skills:

Requires a minimum of five years of experience as a pediatric RD, including primary responsibility for a nutrition specialty area, managing a clinical education program, or a demonstrated leadership role. Experience as a CNM in a hospital setting is preferred.

Shift:

Full-Time

Days - 8am-4:30pm
