Cloud ArchitectBCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Cloud Architect for a Minnesota or Texas - Remote - Onsite job opportunity.Title: Cloud ArchitectLocation: Minnesota or Texas - Remote - Onsite opportunityRate: TBDDuration: Long term Contract Position DescriptionAre you a hands-on developer who has built full-stack cloud-native applications?Do you like to work on a variety of cutting edge, business-critical projects at the forefront of application development and cloud technology adoption?A global financial industry leader is looking for talented hands-on technical Cloud Architect/Senior AWS developer to help accelerate our growing cloud adoption and migration from On-Prem to cloud. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Cloud team and help define and implement best practices to enhance stability, availability at optimal cost. What Else Will You Do?* Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional cloud projects.* Migrate monolithic applications to micro services architectures.* Advise and lead implementing Cloud best practices.* Experience with full stack Java-based enterprise technologies and tools using Java, Node.js, Javascript, Cloud native/12-factor Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Apache Camel.* Experience with modern software engineering practices using CI/CD and associated toolsets such as git, AWS Code Commit, Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo, Concourse, Salt, AWS Code Deploy, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.* Event-driven and real-time architectures, patterns, messaging, and streaming technologies such as using Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Amazon SQS/SNS, Amazon MQ, AWS Managed Services for Kafka etc.* Stateless and stateful applications for containers and container manager/schedulers such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS ECS and Docker* Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems.* Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.* Fully and completely understand system inter-dependencies and limitations.* Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.* Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.* Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices).What Education/Experience/Skills Should You Have?* BS level technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred.* 10 + years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, Python* Hands-on experience with architecting and automating provisioning (Infrastructure as code), configuration management for infrastructure and applications.* Experience with Public cloud provider technologies especially AWSo Building cloud native solutions using API Gateway/RDS/Docker/ EKS platform is desired.o AWS professional level Solution Architect /DevOps Certification is a big plus.* Understanding of WAF and security tools is a big plus.General CommentsTechnical Requirements and Prioritization of skill-sets (what is a MUST and what is nice to have?) * 10 + years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, Python* Hands-on experience with architecting and automating provisioning (Infrastructure as code), configuration management for infrastructure and applications.* Experience with Public cloud provider technologies especially AWS o Building cloud native solutions using API Gateway/RDS/Docker/ EKS platform is desired.

• AWS professional level Solution Architect /DevOps Certification is a big plus.
