Position Summary

The Practice Director's is responsible for ensuring the success and growth of practice area(s) by partnering with internal Sales, Consulting Services, and Delivery/Recruiting teams. Growth in practice area(s) is achieved through assisting in sales and project management to saturate existing and penetrate new accounts. The individual should have a deep understanding and expertise in skillsets within practice area(s) and be able to leverage their experience in a corporate environment. The Practice Director should provide guidance and training both internally and in the marketplace at large and transition existing and hiring of new consultants. This individual acts as a SME in the areas of emerging technology trends, market rates, and candidate supply/demand dynamics as they impact technology talent sourcing; as well as being an integral part of the management team to provide leadership in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Strategy. In collaboration with leadership:

  • Assist in setting and driving strategic direction.
  • Take a lead role in the definition of standard solution offerings.

Sales. In collaboration with strategic sales and account management teams:
  • Lead the development of new approaches and opportunities for expanding our customer base.
  • Identify sales leads through established networks.
  • Participate in client presentations.
  • Respond to service opportunities, such as:
  • Responding to RFPs
  • Conducting scoping calls
  • Developing statements of work and translate technical requirements into functional documents.
  • Assist the Strategic Sales and Account Management teams to manage and grow the customer base and make recommendations regarding market rates, trends and estimated time to fill.
  • Create and implement recruiting best practices including sourcing strategies, user group involvement, and networking/relationship building.

Additional Responsibilities

Project Management. In collaboration with consulting services, recruiting, and sales teams:
  • Manage projects and resources for consulting projects.
  • Attract experienced consultants to the project teams and partner with Learning & Development team to develop content and processes for training
  • Assist Recruiters with monitoring employee job performance through direct observation, coaching, counseling, motivation, technical direction and diagnostic expertise.
  • Develop a quality assurance role on engagements to support a consistently high level of delivery of consulting services.
  • Manage client expectations and resolve customer escalation issues.
  • Maintain customer reference-ability.
  • Coordinate relationships with vendors.

Skills

  • 10+ years of Industry or skillset expertise with 4 yrs of Consulting Services project and service line management to grow the base
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships at an executive level
  • Ability to travel ( 25-50% )
  • Team player who is easy to work with and will drive deliverables through completion
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven knowledge of MS office products
