Your Role & Responsibilities

  • SUMMARY
  • The College Relations Specialist is responsible for building and executing talent acquisition strategies for MAHLE's college relations program. The program enables MAHLE to recruit from partner universities while ensuring long standing top-tier relationships, quality of the candidate experience, recruitment brand strength and talent pipeline development. This position collaborates closely with local HR Teams, hiring managers, employees, schools, and students to continually improve MAHLE's recruitment efforts.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and coordinate all college recruiting efforts, including planning and attending key employment events and activities at target colleges across North America.
  • Assist in the development and management of MAHLE's college relations strategy to build a strong foundation for recruiting and relationships with colleges.
  • Lead projects leads aligned to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) goals and objectives.
  • Act as subject matter expert for emerging talent recruitment and college relations.
  • Develop strong relationships with career placement advisors, faculty, students, and campus employment event planning and management teams.
  • Manage all on-campus interviews and information sessions, along with the facilitation of the candidate selection process for internship, co-op, and permanent positions.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Under general supervision, performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult, but usually involves limited responsibility.
  • Exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.


Your Skills & Strengths
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent related experience
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years previous or related experience
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, to work within deadlines with a high attention to detail, and to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with all levels of employees, including Human Resources colleagues and senior level management and/or executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery
  • Must have broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office
  • Successful track record of emerging talent recruitment in a dynamic organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of recruiting technology, such as, applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn, Broadbean, CareerBuilder, etc., to ensure maximum efficiency, including improved applicant experience
  • WORK HOURS
  • Employees must be able to work additional hours and/or additional days during the payroll week which can be in excess of forty (40) hours per payroll week.
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to travel during peak recruiting seasons required.
