The Sr. Advisor, Origination provides insights on key market trends in the industry and works with the business to leverage organizational capability and develop client business solutions and infrastructure investment opportunities. This position can be based in most North America GHD office locations.
This role will focus on the both the development and execution of strategic origination opportunities in the areas of transport, water, energy and urbanization with particular initial emphasis on energy transition in the North American market. The Senior Advisor, Origination will also work closely with counterparts in our Europe/Middle East/Africa, and Australia/Asia/Pacific business to maximize global opportunities.
Key skills/experience required:
This is a client focused role that delivers sustainable business outcomes through intelligence led client relationships and new client acquisition and requires strong engagement with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Working in Advisory, Project Finance or Transactions/Due Diligence teams
- The deal lifecycle and execution of key commercial milestones to achieve financial close.
- Complex procurement and alternative commercial pricing and risk/reward models (e.g. Public/Private Partnerships, Private Finance Initiative, Outsourcing and Service Contracts
- Securing and leading opportunities and engagements
- Performing preliminary analysis of investment opportunities through building financial models, including performing extensive sensitivity analyses, review of financial projections and valuation assumptions
- Due diligence of potential investments, including the identification of key investment merits and risks
- Ensuring that the opportunities are adequately resourced to deliver quality service.
Performance will be measured on achievement of revenue, profitability and growth targets.
