As a Commercial Strategy Manager, you will lead the development and coordination of Corporate Strategy and monitor/enable execution of strategic initiatives.

Role & Responsibility

Strategy Development

  • Develops long-term strategy for Commercial business by evaluating organizational strengths and weaknesses and gains consensus from management on the obstacles of achieving strategy
  • Identify initiatives and resource requirements for carrying out long-term strategy and communicate to functional leaders
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review long-term strategy; lead regular meetings with functional leaders to review functional strategies and initiative
Strategy Execution
  • Assists in development, implementation, and monitoring of NA Strategy Scorecard
  • Develops KPIs that align to long range plan
  • Proactively identifies initiatives that are behind target and raises issue to management; identifies mitigation plans and adjusts long-term plans if necessary
  • Develop and implement plans to improve operational effectiveness to meet or exceed business performance goals
  • Develop strategy to align business functions and employees on strategic initiatives and assist in preparing resource plans necessary to achieve business targets
Annual Planning
  • Manages annual planning processes by ensuring that function-level initiatives and resource plans are sufficient to achieve annual operating plan and that KPIs are set properly to drive appropriate behavior to achieve long-range goals

Job Requirement

  • Education: Bachelors degree
    • MBA preferred
  • Experience: 7>10 years
  • Travel: < 10%
  • Experience in consulting preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Proficiency in data analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience creating reports and presenting to senior management
  • Strong knowledge of business drivers, LRP/AOP initiatives
  • Thorough knowledge of industry, market, and competitive landscape
  • Highly capable of establishing rapport and credibility with others regardless of position, function, or culture
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven Project management skills
  • Ability to persuade executive team
  • High competency Strategic Thinking, and Execution
  • Proven ability to challenge status quo
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with very short timelines/deadlines

As a Commercial Strategy Manager, you will problem solve a broad spectrum of corporate-wide strategic issues. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to quickly establish network. You will need to deal with multiple assignments under different time constraints and be able to commit to early mornings and late evenings. Strong business acumen is also required to understand functional issues to create challenging, but achievable AOP/LRP. In addition, you will need to be able to concisely explain complex problems and details to non-native English speakers. Persuasion is also an important aspect of this position in order to encourage executives and directors to explore new alternatives and complete strategic planning despite their need to resolve short-term issues.
