Position Summary

Position Summary:

To develop strategy to achieve Connectors commodity management goals and objectives.
Essential Responsibilities

Position Requirements:

  • Development and execution of Direct Material Savings Plan (PPV).
  • Lead and or manage cross functional commodity teams.
  • Develop both Regional & Global Sources of Supply for assigned commodities
  • Negotiation of Long Term Agreements (LTA's).
  • Negotiation and implementation of VMI - Consignment supply agreements
  • Manage SAP Material master
  • Sourcing initiatives
  • AVL Management
  • Supplier Assessments
  • Risk Litigation
  • Supplier Quarterly Business reviews
  • Supplier performance and improvement plans
  • Supply base reduction and consolidation
  • Supplier Development initiatives
  • Component lead-time reductions
  • VBPD Projects
  • ZSALC & SPA management
  • Government contract RFQ's
  • Negotiation of Capital purchases
  • Indirect - MRO cost reduction initiatives and projects
  • Supplier Portal (Ultriva) implementation
  • Small business plans
  • Annual Cost roll
  • Support ITT Corporate Supply Chain initiatives
  • Develop and implement robust standard processes.
  • Support value center tactical procurement team, point of escalation to ensure timely availability of materials (guidance & direction.

Position Requirements

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum of seven years in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement industry.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Successful team player
  • Proven ability to produce cost savings/value in contracting
  • Ability to develop and lead negotiations create short and long term strategies, and manage complex sourcing relationships
  • Ability to lead, manage, and influence a cross-functional organization achieving desired results.
  • Ability to provide change leadership and accelerate change
  • Ability to negotiate and draft contracts
  • Ability to assess supplier risks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional team facilitation skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environment
  • Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Technical knowledge
  • Exceptional math and analytical skills to adequately analyze market trends, provide commodity guidance, information, forecasts, set inventory targets, interpret Supplier quotes, contracts and other Supplier-related issues.
