NGHS is currently seeking a Communications Specialist for our Switchboard team in Gainesville.

Full Time: Shifts Vary

Job Summary: The Communications Specialist is designed to receive all incoming calls and connect caller with appropriate party. They will alert appropriate personnel during emergency situations. Locates Physicians for parties inside and outside the facility. Keeps current listing of extension numbers and outside emergency numbers. Monitors all fire, burglar, medical gas, etc. alarms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year clerical with experience in PBX operation.

• Professional customer service attitude, ability to communicate with and assess customer needs.
• Computer and typing skills.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Occasionally kneeling/stooping/bending
• Frequent walking/standing
• Frequent pushing/pulling
• Occasionally intensive work, requires reading, writing, & talking
