As Hagerty grows, we continue to look for talented professionals from a variety of backgrounds to provide holistic solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a Long-Term Recovery Planner. This is a contract that will be deploy to disaster impacted areas, working alongside local, state, and federal partners, either at the Joint Field Office (JFO) or directly in the impacted community. The Long-Term Recovery Planner will coordinate and collaborate with communities facilitate the long-term recovery planning process building capacity and capability while addressing specific issues, such as housing recovery, infrastructure recovery, and/or economic recovery. We are looking for Long-Term Recovery Planners who have a passion for bringing people together to solve complex problems.
The responsibilities of the Long-Term Recovery Planner include, but are not limited to:
Long Term Recovery Planner Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate the long-term recovery planning process in alignment with the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF).
  • Coordinate with a team to include the impacted community, state counterparts, the federal government, and non-governmental partners.
  • Work independently as well as within a team that has both onsite and remote components.
  • Plan and schedule various project workloads.
  • Gather and analyze information to prepare status reports.
  • Ensure that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy.
  • Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Prepare reports for management and maintains all essential records and reports.
  • Ensure that all work orders and projects are properly documented and closed in scheduling systems.
  • Determine the level of schedule compliance and identifies reasons for completion shortfalls
Candidates for the Long-Term Recovery Planner must possess the following qualifications:
Long Term Recovery Planner Basic Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the long-term recovery planning process in either a pre- or post-disaster environment.
  • The desire to help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
  • An undergraduate degree.
  • Ability to problem-solving/troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to produce solutions in high-stress situations.
  • Superior technical and non-technical written and oral communication skills
