Compensation: $24.37 hourly

The Central Region Community Relations Department is responsible for multiple marketing related tasks throughout the state of Missouri in support of Compass Health Network and Royal Oaks Hospital. The person in this position will, over time, be required to have a solid overall understanding of the organization in its entirety. Promotions and reputation management are paramount. The Central Region Community Relations Coordinator will grow knowledge to become an expert within their area of operation, serving locations from Eldon through Sullivan. Promoting the programs and services offered by the organization will be primarily directed towards individuals and agencies that have the potential to refer clients to the organization for healthcare related services or who may in some way be able to support agency projects and events. This is mainly accomplished by, but not limited to: face to face engagement with referrals at their place of business, exhibiting at state-wide conferences, exhibiting at smaller community resource fairs, and assisting with community education programs.  Travel and schedule flexibility required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Research assigned region/territory to identify new referrals, community contacts and ways to strengthen community ties
• Support and attend regional events; working in partnership with the RVP and Community Engagement team
• Strategically market CHN programs and services to providers and agencies that may have the potential to refer clients for healthcare services. This is primarily accomplished by but not limited to in-person contacts which in some cases will require substantial time on the road
• Maintain an exceptional knowledge base of CHN programs and services
• Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with potential referrals, existing referrals and community partners within assigned region/territory
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with CHN directors/supervisors
• Prioritize where increased marketing support is needed most and adjust efforts accordingly
• Serve as the CHN representative on numerous community counsels within assigned region/territory
• Represent CHN as an exhibitor, as needed, at large statewide conferences; some of which last 2-3 days and may or may not include weekends
• Assist with special initiatives specific to their region and with programs requiring increased promotional support
• Assist with identifying and organizing CHN attendance at smaller resource fairs within assigned region/territory; attend these events as needed
• Community influencer introductions and relationship development
• Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK

EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in human services, marketing, communications or a psychiatric-related program preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least two (2) years experience in healthcare marketing or a human service-related field required if a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is not obtained
• Leadership, team skills, and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, required
• Must have a valid Missouri driver’s license with an exceptional driving record
