Position:

Component Quality Engineer- Relocation Assistance Offered

Job Description:

Arrow Electronics is currently seeking a Component Quality Engineer (CQE) within our Converge Team headquartered in Peabody, Massachusetts. This position will collaborate across multiple functions within the business and provide detailed electronic component and product inspections. Validating, verifying, and deciphering fraudulent components in accordance with Converges procedures and checklists.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Examine and authenticate electronic products ranging from semiconductors, capacitors, and other active and passive electronic components.
• Test and inspect products utilizing heated solvents, X-ray and XRF machines, decapsulation, microscopes, and other failure analysis techniques and equipment.
• Confirm Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) and RoHS/Lead Free compliance via part markings, testing and known manufacturers datasheets.
• Test, measure, photograph, and complete product inspection checklists and reports.
• Compare physical product being inspected against known manufacturers data sheet and other industry alert lists.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience

• Experience with front of line / end of line semiconductor manufacturing, failure analysis and various test protocols.
• Familiar with failure analysis methodology and basic functional/electrical testing
• Experience with visual inspection and determining condition of semiconductor and electronic parts (new, used, fraudulent or suspect counterfeit).
• Basic knowledge of AS6081, ISO 17025, ISO 9001 quality standards a plus.
• Excellent verbal, technical writing, interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$26.50 hr

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
