SUMMARY

Reliability Analyst is a key agent in maintaining the inherent safety, reliability, and operational reliability levels of aircraft, systems, and components at the lowest cost through rational analysis and manipulation of the maintenance/inspection program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, but not limited to:

  • Analyze and evaluate all forms of data used to measure a component, system, and aircraftperformance for safety and economic impact as outlined in the Reliability Program.
  • Compile and publish various reports to illustrate such issues and trends.
  • Report findings and trends to Rotables Manager.
  • Compile, build and publish the monthly Reliability Report which includes reporting monthlyperformance and standards as well as control limits exceeded and analysis of those limits exceeded to include graphs, photographic supporting documentation, and vendor-supplied data. Report and distribute to quality departments CAS Manager.
  • Analyze and evaluate ongoing data for presentation at weekly CAS and ETOPS Meetings.
  • Compile, produce recommendations to management based on component performance and reliability. Report progress or status of issues from previous meetings.
  • Recommend changes to the Maintenance Program as a result of analysis of component and systems trends.
  • Provide component data to vendors as requested.
  • Facilitate meetings with vendors as required to present Amerijet’s position with regard to poor component performance issues and press for a resolution.
  • Travel to vendor repair stations for components with poor reliability when a shop visit would aid in understanding component issues; work with the vendor to develop better methods of testing and repair.
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with reliability departments at other carriers for the exchange of reliability data.
  • Conduct line and hangar visits as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management or related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • A & P Licenses plus.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain an Airport SIDA (Secure Identification Display Area) Badge.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and strong in Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to multitask and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos and the ability to write correspondence and emails, prioritize, and type at least 45-50 WPM.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high stressed, high-demand environment.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 of years statistical reliability or maintenance program experiences desired



PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

Physical Demands: Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Occasional requirement to stand or sit whilst completing all listed tasks. Often requires movements of the neck in all directions. Intermittent reaching above shoulder height required to access storage areas and pigeon holes, stooping and bending from a standing position when lifting file boxes or collecting documents.
