Job Description

J.S. Held is searching for Consultants, Senior Consultants, Directors, and Senior Directors to join our Cyber, Proactive Services team.

As a member of the Cyber Security, Proactive Services team, you will be applying your expertise in a broad selection of engagements as advisors to our clients who represent law firms and businesses within numerous verticals. The ideal candidate will provide expert-level guidance, utilizing both technical skills and critical thinking, on all areas of cybersecurity and cyber risk management to clients across a wide array of industries, geographies, and organizational structures. We are looking for cybersecurity experts with experience in most of the following or all: breach response, penetration testing, enterprise resiliency, intelligence collection, forensic analysis, network operations, cyber policy, security operations, etc.

Responsibilities

• Using industry accepted tools/practices to perform threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments
• Assist in auditing cyber security program maturity, gaps, and effectiveness, against varying Cybersecurity frameworks to include due diligence and red flag audits
• Assist clients in developing their information security strategy and aligning security programs with client business priorities
• Create, enhance, review, and/or approve security policies, standards, controls, and processes as warranted by each client engagement
• Identify appropriate toolsets and services to be implemented to identify, detect, and respond to potential threats with corresponding communication and action plans
• Review investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities
• Preserve current knowledge of industry trends, threats, methodologies, and core technologies to understand client needs and provide appropriate advises and recommendations
• Experience with analyzing log data, digital evidence, and other information collection from cyber evaluations
• Develop strategies to expand the portfolio of services offered and improve the efficiency and consistency of service delivery.
  

Additional Qualifications

• Understanding of data loss / data theft prevention concepts and technologies
• Understanding of digital forensics concepts and technologies. Technical proficiency in a wide range of cyber risk management services, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and cybersecurity framework assessments, among others
• Cybersecurity industry certifications such as CISSP and/or CISM are a plus
• Able to communicate verbally and in concise written reports
• Ability to work with and communicate with both technical representatives and executives
  

Attributes & Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Information System, Computer Science, or a related field
• Collaborative team player with 2+ professional years working in Cybersecurity consultation, incident response, or relevant experience
• Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure, as well as a strong attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, eagerness for continued development, and motivation to succeed
• Ability to interact confidently with senior team members and clients
• Critical thinker possessing a persistent inquisitive nature with the ability to learn and demonstrate new technologies and workflows
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
