Summary:

This position is responsible for representing Tyson Foods as a company that is committed to excellent products and superior customer satisfaction. As a Consumer Relations Supervisor - Social Media, you will oversee the management of customer relations and communications through various social media platforms. Your role will involve direct communication with internal and external customers, as well as retail consumers, to address product quality issues, inquiries, and crisis situations. You will collaborate with different departments to ensure timely resolution and updated product information. Building positive relationships with Tyson family of brand customers and consumers will be a key focus. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing solutions to customer problems, including those related to company and government regulations, product changes, and marketing promotions. Coordinating with plant teams to resolve product complaints will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of consumer relations specialists focused on social media communication.
  • Oversee the daily operations of consumer relations through various social media platforms.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints on social media platforms.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely responses to customer concerns.
  • Monitor social media platforms for trends and feedback related to Tyson Foods products.
  • Identify and report potential crisis situations to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to clarify marketing promotions and ensure accurate communication on social media.
  • Work closely with plant teams to resolve product complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage two weekend team members and coordinate to ensure they have someone to escalate questions to if needed.
  • Continuously improve consumer relations processes and strategies based on customer feedback and industry trends.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 plus years of experience in social media management, specifically handling customer relations and engagement.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in using Tyson systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and make effective decisions.
  • Experience supervising teams (up to 15 direct reports).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in consumer relations or customer service roles within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with the Bazaarvoice Platform or similar customer feedback management systems.
  • Knowledge of government regulations related to food products and labeling.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in customer feedback.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to evolving consumer needs and expectations.
