Guy Carpenter is looking for an experienced Contract Associate. The role can be located in Seattle, Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, or Dallas.

What can you expect?

• You will be the primary collaborator with Broking on construction and delivery of contractual documentation for client accounts assigned
  

We will count on you to:

• Manage assigned client base for all aspects of reinsurance contracts, under limited supervision
  
• Assess contracts and perform quality assurance review to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations
  
• Recommend coverage and wording enhancements and raises potential coverage issues, as appropriate
  
• Consult with Brokers by providing effective responses to all contract-related inquiries with Client and/or Markets
  
• Research and respond to inquiries from Brokers, Clients and Markets and input contract status data on the electronic document tracking system

What you need to have:

• 5+ primary insurance or reinsurance contract drafting experience preferred
  
• Bachelor's Degree and applicable experience preferred
  
• Interest in pursuing Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation
  
• Knowledge of contract law, contract provisions, reinsurance concepts and principles, basic regulatory controls and general business trends
  
• Strong verbal and writing skills for complex communications (presentations, negotiations, etc.) with clients, markets and Guy Carpenter colleagues at all levels
