We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Contract Specialist to join our legal department in Madison, WI. In this position, you will develop and negotiate supply chain contracts to support internal business clients. Other responsibilities include analyzing and negotiating key business and legal terms in a variety of contracts, including complex business transactions. The Contract Specialist will also assist in developing supply chain enterprise-wide savings initiatives, risk mitigation, and growth strategies.

Our ideal candidate has experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, exceptional organization skills, and thrives on collaborating with other business areas.This Hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home, while also spending time at our Madison location to interact with team members in-person on average one to two days per week. The successful candidate must reside in Wisconsin.

Job Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor\u0027s Degree with an emphasis in business administration, purchasing, supply chain or related area is preferred
• Paralegal certification is preferred

Experience:

• 4 years of related experience in purchasing, supply chain, legal or contract management and negotiation.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

• Demonstrated solid contract development skills, including the development and implementation of risk mitigation, performance standards and measures, innovative pricing, and value-added opportunities with suppliers.
• Knowledge of contract management principles, along with knowledge of accounting, finance, and business procedures and practices as they relate to contracts.
• Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and ability to take ownership of assigned projects.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrate established proficiency utilizing evolving technological tools to streamline daily tasks and communications.
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
