GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT

The Contracts Specialist, reporting to the Director of Agreements for the Mass General Brigham Clinical Trials Office (CTO), is a professional who will handle tasks to support and manage CTO's role in clinical research contracting.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist CTO agreement associates to manage a large volume of confidentiality agreements, clinical trial agreements, clinical research support agreements, and amendments;
  • Maintain up to date Insight entry and records;
  • Follow up regularly with industry sponsors and all relevant parties to ensure timely review and execution of contracts;
  • Prepare status reports for CTO agreement associates and industry sponsors;
  • Generate, edit and negotiate the terms of confidentiality agreements, amendments and assignments under the oversight of CTO agreement associates;
  • Prepare final documents for routing for signatures upon review and approval by CTO agreement associates and circulate those documents for signatures;
  • Upload final documents into Insight;
  • Distribute fully-executed agreements to all relevant parties;
  • Assist in the management of multicenter trials;
  • Interface with sponsors, PIs and their support staff; and
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications
    REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience required.
    • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to establish priorities.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Flexibility and ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently and ability to act cooperatively with many individuals.
    • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and to perform with accuracy.
    • Thorough knowledge of word processing (MS Office - Word, Excel, Access, and database management) and willingness to learn.
    • Experience in hospital or health care setting is desirable.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
