SUMMARY

Manage general controlling functions and the preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results. Responsible for monthly financial reporting in various internal reporting systems. Drive continual improvement mindset via Performance Lift. Provide management with accurate analysis of business operations and reliable information needed to evaluate new business opportunities.

Support general business operations and the Sales Organization in order to facility efficient operations and superior customer satisfaction. Lead for SAP Controlling activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BY FUNCTION

Financial Management

Ensure the accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial systems programs and reports between system and corporate functions Responsible over Multiple locations within the MAI Management Entity : Olive Branch, Ft. Worth, Bell, Motorsports

Manage the end to end data integrity of the order-to-cash process with specific focus on the directly influenceable areas such as, Costing, but also including the indirect processes such as Purchasing.

Manage the exchange of accurate financial data with corporate for reporting issues.

Evaluate data, develop financial plans, and present solutions to problems for which there is no established approach.

Prepare monthly business reports and other reports as required, including any analyses requested by management for return on investment.

Analyze actual vs. budget variances based on experience and/or requests from upper management.

Prepare the annual Business Plan according to current MAHLE internal practices and guidelines.

Review the capital expenditure budget, monitoring actual against plan, and securing approval for deviations.

Manage process of validating billings and reconciliation of general ledger to detail.

Maintain records of expenses and budget balances.

Maintain and monitor WIP, PO commitments, and revenue recognition

Provide support for monthly and year-end closings, with primary responsibility for updating all forecasts.

Direct studies and analyses of a broad nature affecting various phases of business, where appreciable originality and ingenuity are required.

Develop informative methods of presenting financial data, special projects and studies utilizing SAP or other systems as necessary.

Support awareness of, and meet, the requirements of the Company Quality System

Required to observe all safety rules and regulations. Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around work area.

Establish business partner relationship with the Regional Controlling Services, Shared Service Centers, Regional Controlling Team, the Plant Manager, the Local Management Team and the broader workforce to maintain connectivity within the Group.
Complies with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Utilize digital automation tools to drive continuous improvement in the controlling processes

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires the ability to effectively lead 1-6 direct reports and indirect reporting individuals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent; Masters or MBA prefered

10 years financial analysis experience with an emphasis on budgetary control and business planning activities

Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and accounting procedures, an ability to interpret and apply MAHLE specific accounting and procedural practices

SAP FI-CO key user

SAP PS key user

Project Management competence

Basic knowledge of international business issues and foreign exchange procedures

Familiarity with pricing strategy and policy

Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical and organization skills

Excellent computer skills; report generation and statistical computation
