Job Description:

As the Controller for Building Construction Products (BCP) with responsibility for supporting the BCP Athens (Georgia) manufacturing operations, you will have the opportunity to support our U.S. production for Micro Excavators (MHEX) and Small Dozers (STTT). As a business partner, you will provide counsel to management for all business analysis, cost reduction and efficiency initiatives, capital planning, and production support. You will also lead a team of two individuals responsible for capital, legal entity, inventory, and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Location:

  • Athens, GA with up to ~10% travel
  • Domestic relocation is available for those that qualify
  • Visa Sponsorship will not be offered for this role
What You Will Do:
  • Provide business analysis and financial support to the Athens (Georgia) manufacturing facility.
  • Lead investment analysis, operational results analysis as well as variable and period value added improvement initiatives.
  • Lead annual business plan, rolling business management, and long-term forecasting and volume flexibility planning for local operations.
  • Lead local legal entity initiatives, including monthly close process and statutory reporting.
  • Lead and ensure compliance with the unit's Business Risk Management governance process and Sarbanes-Oxley controls by ensuring effective and adequate documentation of analysis.
  • Support Caterpillar Global Finance Strategy through transformation of our processes and automation to help generate business insights.

  • Leadership : Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. Level: Extensive Experience
  • Financial Forecasting & Modeling : Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results. Level: Extensive Experience
Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
  • Advanced Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing operations
