Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

Ability to develop and implement proven marketing strategies
Ability to implement and coordinate efficiently and effectively multiple digital media platforms including social media and website.
Knowledge of applied game/event operations and athletic marketing industry trends to increase attendance at sporting events.
Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Premiere, & InDesign.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel
Ability to establish rapport with internal and external constituents.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Additional consideration for Masters' degree
Knowledge of NCAA rules as it relates to athletics marketing operations
Previous experience in collegiate or professional athletics environment

Job Description:

The Texas State University Department of Athletics is seeking applications for a Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions/Digital Media Specialist to assist the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing with varying aspects including game operations/fan engagement, social media coordination, and digital media development. This position is full time and benefits eligible.

Job Duties:

The Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for the purpose of increasing public awareness, encouraging increased attendance and enhancing the fan experience for athletic programs through aspects of digital media (i.e. social media and graphic design) as well as through game operations/fan engagement. This includes social media coordination, designing and placing digital media elements, developing and administering assessment tools, assisting with marketing strategies, developing and directing promotions and special events, managing student staff, and being the primary marketing contact for assigned sports. This position is responsible for collaborating with Texas State Sports Properties, the Bobcat Club and other athletics and university staff.
