Responsibilities

Incumbent will be responsible for managing Work-In-Process flow through the distribution center; Responsible for prioritizing workloads through WM; Release waves and print waves to meet deadlines for shipping appointment schedule and communicate effectively with operation teams to expedite orders to meet daily department goals.

Responsible for all functions of Wave/Batch management and managing orders within WM systems including but not limited to tracking, expediting, waving, disbursement of tickets according to ship date or management direction and canceling of orders.

• Ensure that all equipment at the wave/staging desk is fully operational and functioning properly.
• Act as liaison between wave desk, staging desk, shipping department and management to prioritize orders to ensure deadlines are met.
• Run queries and special reports, communicating with all departments within the distribution center, to manage product flow to expedite product to essential areas as needed.
• Perform AS400 operations as required and follow all GPS guidelines for the position.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision / management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years experience in a distribution environment and one years experience of staging desk operation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in PC applications, specifically AS-400 applications, proficiency in Word and Excel applications is required.
• Must have working knowledge of order processing to make independent decisions.
• Time management skills critical.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Successful applicant will need to sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Excellent attendance a must.
• Ability to flex time (come in early and/or work overtime) is essential.
