As an Associate Specialist of Medical Education, you are responsible for the logistical coordination of independent medical education (IME) grants received by Regeneron and serve a resource for internal Regeneron and Alliance partners. You will work in a multifunctional, matrix organization with colleagues within the medical education team and medical affairs group. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate with external partners such as educational providers and Alliance partners.
A typical day may include the following:

  • Processing all IME grant requests received in the Grant Management System
  • Scheduling Grant Review Committee and other grant review meetings on a regularly scheduled basis and document accurate notes and meeting minutes
  • Securing and document formal votes according to Regeneron policy for approved grants
  • Maintaining accurate and current tracker(s) on the status of all received and approved grants
  • Providing necessary data for dashboards and reports for partners on IME projects and achievements based on guidance and input from IME Strategist
  • Compliantly interface/collaborate closely with medical education providers and grant recipients
  • Providing customer service regarding web portal and grant processing (internal and external users)
  • Assisting in maintenance and troubleshooting of various IME systems
  • Actively participating in and contribute to IME team and cross-functional meetings
  • Contributing to documentation on shared servers to ensure an organized, user-friendly way to retrieve data and all medical education relevant information
  • Observing compliance mechanisms to adhere to all governing medical education regulations and Regeneron policies

To be considered for this a Bachelor's degree required with an advanced degree a plus. Your experience should include 1+ year within a medical education/communications/agency and/or pharmaceutical industry setting. Knowledge of medical and regulatory affairs, drug development, FDA and regulatory guidelines (i.e., PhRMA guidelines, OIG, AMA, ACCME, Sunshine Act, etc.) is required.

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or medical affairs is desirable as is experience with a grant management or funding system.
