Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Liberal Arts, or related field, and at least five (5) years professional experience involving computerized database access, report generation and data analysis. SCT Banner experience required. Five years of professional experience in the context of post-secondary education and expertise in several areas of scheduling of large facilities, complex projects, staffing, site operations management, licensing, and product acquisition and purchasing. Master’s degree is preferred.

Demonstrable knowledge of information technology systems in use in a higher education environment and other systems available in the information technology industry; Demonstrable ability to communicate and work effectively with administrators, faculty, and staff in a post-secondary environment; Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills.

Nature and Scope of Duties:

The Coordinator of Operations reports to the Manager of Administrative Application Integration and is responsible for technology-related office operations, and performs the following duties:
 
•    Coordinate with the MAAI and Chief Information Officer the processing of purchase orders, administration of budget funds, administration of lease funds, administration of annual contracts, equipment inventory and coordination of one-time technology-based projects.
•    Coordinate multiple concurrent college project requests from initiation to closure, ensuring that project scope, budget, and customer expectations are met.
•    Provides budget planning and control, coordination, and organization of maintenance, licensing, and office operations, including but not limited to interactions with vendors, departmental technology-based projects, and institutional technology-based projects.
•    Provides and monitors workload processing and scheduling for office operations using factors such as user requirements and availability of equipment, facilities, and staff.
•    Maintains ongoing calendar of administrative projects for Banner, CRM, LMS, and all related products.
•    Coordinates with the MAAI to monitor operation and maintenance scheduling for IIT administrative systems.
•    Provides supervision of IIT office operations personnel to ensure an appropriate level of service and support for the academic and administrative user communities and college business-related organizations and personnel.
•    Provides inventory management for help desk and office operations.
•    Administers the digital coordination of authorization and return processes for all off-campus college-owned digital computing assets.
•    Coordinates requisitions for all departments for the acquisition of microcomputer hardware and software systems and licenses including as necessary the use of NYS contracts and the preparation of RFPs, bids, or quotes to insure compatibility with current college computing infrastructure.
•    Maintains digital collection of computer software licensing agreements and enforces software copyright laws on all college computers.
•    Serve as co-chair of the Banner Steering Committee.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the MAAI and CIO.


This is a full-time 37.5-hour work week position with a salary range of $73,000-$78,000.
