Duties: The Program Coordinator of the Perelman School of Medicine Master's & Certificate Programs (MaC) works collaboratively with the twelve PSOM master's programs and various affiliated certificates to support academic management and promote operational efficiency. The programs currently consist of roughly 75 faculty and 500 students. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the MaC team including the Associate Dean, Director of Education, Associate Director, and importantly, the individual Program Directors and Staff.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
*Student record maintenance, which includes: reviewing student registration and billing data for potential errors; warranted financial or registration adjustments in response to errors or requests from the programs; and processing requests from programs, such as leaves of absence or withdrawals, in accordance with University policies, best practices, and federal guidelines.
*Graduation processing, which includes: planning the graduation processing timeline, from the point of student application to the final degree posting, such that it aligns with federal compliance requirements as disseminated by the Office of the University Registrar; coordination of diploma listings, in concert with the Office of the University Secretary; and reconciliation of information given in the degree audit system and information presented on the student transcript.
*Data management, which includes: mastering the data warehouse system to effectively create reports to improve program efficiency and coordinate reporting requests for accreditation, admissions reporting through the Provost's Office portal, and other reports as requested.
*Program reviews & accreditations, which includes: assisting the program under review or up for accreditation with data-related requests, scheduling events, and meeting program-specific needs as they arise.
*New staff orientations and committee meetings, which include: organizing new program staff training, setting agenda items and leading discussions at MaC Staff Meetings, and setting agenda items and presenting information at MaC Faculty Director Advisory Committee Meetings

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The successful candidate will be a collaborative professional with a team approach to problem-solving. Must have outstanding communication skills, with ability to communicate with both internal and external constituencies. A commitment to the highest level of academic and personal integrity, high academic standards, diversity and intercultural understanding, interdisciplinary and experiential learning, and continued professional development is essential. Must demonstrate close attention to detail and careful work habits along with an ability to understand and interpret complex business processes and academic policies. Must be able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, exercise independent judgment, effectively balance multiple tasks simultaneously, and work collaboratively in a service-oriented environment. Experience with student records systems, data management systems, familiarity with Penn academic systems is preferred.
