POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Senior is responsible for assistance with the monthly domestic SAP close process and consolidation reporting. The Accounting Senior is also responsible for analysis and report preparation, assistance with external audit, and assistance with the annual budgeting process. The position is located at the company's corporate headquarters in Malvern, PA.

More specific responsibilities include:

• Responsible for certain functions of the monthly close process.
• Preparation of certain monthly journal entries.
• Preparation of certain monthly accrual accounts and account reconciliations.
• Closing of the domestic cost centers and domestic/international profit centers within SAP.
• Knowledge of US GAAP in various areas, including but not limited to accrued liabilities, prepaid assets, fixed assets, and benefits accounting.
• Generation and maintenance of organized workpapers supporting certain general ledger accounts.
• Maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various analyses on a monthly basis.
• Assistance in providing various financial analyses and ad hoc reports.
• Assistance with financial statement preparation and internal management reporting.
• Accounting for corporate level transactions in the SAP general ledger and preparation of periodic account analyses.
• Assistance with coordinating the annual external audit process and preparation of various analyses required by the audit staff.
• Coordination of the completion of government and various other regulatory filings (census filings, manufacturing reports, business licenses, corporation annual reports).
• Development and presentation of recommendations for continuous improvement of processes surrounding financial systems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, there are a number of traits that a successful candidate will possess.

Technical

The Senior Accountant will be an accomplished accounting professional with proven financial and financial-systems skills, solid business acumen and management ability. Additionally the candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Prefer minimum of 2-4 years of corporate accounting experience or combination of public accounting and industry experience.
• Prefer SAP R3 FI-CO-PA user experience in a corporate setting. Experience with a manufacturing company would be preferred, but is not required.
• Excellent general accounting skills, thorough working knowledge of US GAAP standards, and ability to research and document accounting issues.
• Ability to analyze financial information and prepare reports to management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word).
