POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides support to management through analysis of manufacturing performance metrics, maintenance of cost accounting databases and assists in preparation of monthly financial analyses and reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in preparing reporting and analysis of key operating parameters associated with product lines of the business, such as profitability, spending, inventory, capital investment, etc., working closely with Director of Accounting.
• Active in monthly financial close process.
• Controls standard cost data to ensure consistency across the Company and monitors variances for potential standard cost changes. Work with Procurement on material cost changes.
• Active in review of operational transactions; invoices, for validity of business purpose and GL account coding; and cost saving opportunities.
• Coordinate effective input, output, integration and coordinator for all information systems (e.g. Avante, FACTS, Adaptive, UKG, Cognos) related to financial monitoring, reporting and analysis.
• Assist in annual budget preparation.
• Manage direct reports.
• Performs other financial analysis as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors in accounting. Five or more years of relevant practical industrial or public accounting experience required. CPA, MBA, CMA desirable.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Advanced Excel skills required as well as ability to manipulate data from various sources.
• Ability to write summaries that conform to a prescribed style and format.
• Ability to effectively present information to corporate management.
• Ability to develop business relationships across all functions in a professional environment.
