Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer for Project Manager Electronic Warfare & Cyber. The Cyber Software Engineer collaborates with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Collaborates with system users, requirement owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
- Participates in planning, coordinating, scheduling, directing, and controlling engineering and technical support activities applicable to systems development and capability integration.
- Focuses on integration as a systems and developmental operations problem solving effort.
- Provides integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
- Participates in the development and execution of test strategies.
RequirementsThe position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements with respect to COVID-19, as well as any Government or customer site-specific requirements. Minimum RequirementsKnowledge and Skills The required skills and knowledge include:
- US Citizenship and must currently possess a TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance.
- Experience reading, writing and editing software code at an intermediate level in at least one top tier language such as Python, Perl, and C++
- Experience with tools such as Docker, GitLab/GITLAB CU
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence)
The minimum years of related experience required: 5 years of experience with systems engineering and integration principles, including software intensive systems
3 years of hands-on experience with EW, Cyber, or tactical C4ISR applications
2 years of experience with DoD acquisition process, authoring DoD acquisition documentation including systems engineering plans, and Performance Based Specifications
Education The minimum level of education required is:
- BS or Graduate degree(s) in Engineering, or in Information Technology
Preferred Requirements The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
- Experience with cyber operations and red/white team penetration testing; superior writing skills inclusive of developing technical based system-level specifications
Other QualificationsPhysical requirements for the job include: walking, standing and lifting up to 20 lbs
