The Division of Development and Alumni Relations has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Data Analyst 2 to work in Coral Gables, FL.

The Data Analyst 2 is primarily responsible for the fulfillment of data and information requests using multiple tools, including the division's CRM transactional database. This role will work closely with customers concerning requests, business requirements, data selection and criteria specification.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Fulfills data requests for mailing lists, donor rolls, demographic and giving analyses, using relevant tools.

  • Develops a strong understanding of user reporting needs and makes recommendations on how data requests and reports can be developed using various reporting tools.

  • Develops and implements reporting documentation and training materials.

  • Analyzes data to ensure accuracy.

  • Identifies opportunities to enhance data collection and analysis.

  • Identifies potential process improvements and capabilities to increase consistency, transparency, and reliability of reporting and analysis.

  • Perform quality checks of data requests produced as a result of end user requests.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases including the use of SQL (Structured Query Language) to query databases and extract relevant data.

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud products preferred.

  • Experience designing and building reports utilizing reporting tools such as SQL, Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Tableau or similar.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Good articulation, data visualization, and presentation skills to communicate results.

  • Ability to correlate heterogeneous information/data into meaningful facts for reporting.

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
