As a Data Analyst within a security environment, you will join a highly skilled and focused team, playing an integral role in protecting ADP’s data. We protect sensitive ADP client and company data during handling and throughout the data life cycle. Responsibilities include being point of contact for key ADP Business product teams, providing actionable data analytics/reporting. The data analytics reporting provided to business products teams should result in improving product solutions, enable delivery of robust and secure products for ADP clients,  reduce overall data risk, and provide meaningful and timely feedback to business product teams. This role will support driving continual uplift of analytic tools and data sources for the  benefit of LOBs and Data security team(s).

This role will gather requirements, produce, and manage various reporting/metric analysis activities with various LOBs to deliver specific data security insights, helping bring visibility of data risks throughout each business unit and or product(s), and assist in coordinating key business SMEs in driving remediation activities that reduce data risk exposure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here is what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a < Data Security Analyst> at ADP.

  • <Collaborate> Work with multiple disciplinary teams, as primary point of contact for various business units, defining, creating, and visualizing key data security metrics around the risk posture of technology products and associated processes. This role is highly collaborative, working with both Global Data Security engineers and other adjacent security teams, in addition to being forward-facing with various Business product teams, who are responsible for driving industry-leading product solutions for clients worldwide. This role will be directly engaged in contributing towards the future vision for next generation data security.
  • <Product and Process Awareness> Managing a high-volume and high complexity reporting & analytics book of work, this role will produce rigorous product data analysis, resulting in a variety of outputs that include product process documentation, risk analysis and reporting agenda, focused on data metrics/insights around data security, and data risks. Partner with strategic role(s) to align on roadmap for continual improvement while providing support around in-flight initiatives.
  • <Project Management> This role will have a day-in-the-life exposure of project management activities and key milestone/phases, that introduces and builds the process and planning for the Data Security Analytics Specialist’s schedule around reporting delivery schedule.
  • <Metrics and Reporting> Ability to drive key aspects of dashboard development, including requirements gathering, data reconciliation, and prototype development. This role will have on-the-job experience in performing business analysis and leading end-to-end reporting projects. This experience will prepare you to define processes and visibility to data that result in measurable risk reduction for ADP. Able to produce and maintain reporting routines on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual cadence by request of LOBs.

 

A college degree is great but not required. What is more important is having the skills and experience to do the job.  

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:  <Data Security Analyst >

In addition, you can present your ideas in a clear, professional manner on paper, in-person, and over the phone. You already possess a high degree of integrity, be trustworthy, and can work independently.
  • Proven Winner. With your one-to-two years of experience in cybersecurity and/or business intelligence roles, you are identified as a top performer that contributes to project planning, implementing, and delivering security dashboards. You can work well with key collaborators (security partners, technology teams, business units) to help improve or solution designs. You possess strong analytical skills and desire to continue to deepen both cybersecurity experience and business intelligence solutions. You have no issue with constructive feedback that helps improve the overall data insights process and results.
  • Technical Metrics/Reporting Enthusiast. You possess an initial familiarity with business intelligence delivery and reporting (analytics, process improvement, and/or project management) with hands on user-experience with modern business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI (Business Intelligence), Qlik). The underlying data basics are a given with you, already possessing advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, VBA (Visual Basic for Application a plus), and presentation skills. You have experience (or desire to gain experience) working in big data platforms and technologies. You have hands-on experience with data analysis tooling (descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive tools). You are comfortable asking questions for processes that are unfamiliar or ambiguous, you have no problem going deeper into the data details, ensuring that the reporting metrics/dashboards results in accuracy, positive reception, and high adoption.
  • Fabulous Soft Skills. You can demonstrate critical problem-solving skills and tend to raise your hand for the data analysis and reporting roles on group projects. You recognize that with the pace that digital transformations drive, one must include the ability to communicate with various audiences that include executive leadership, business leaders, engineers, architects, clients, and associates. The sense-of-urgency, activator attitude you possess makes you a stellar candidate and highly sought after on project teams!
