Slalom Chicago's Data and Analytics practice is seeking a Cloud Data Architect to design and implement modern data solutions and lead delivery teams responsible for this work. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide data solutions using modern tools and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP or Snowflake.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for recommended technical approaches for solving our clients' complex data-related development and integration problems
- Partner with Slalom Sales Leaders as part of pursuit teams to generate $2.5 million in revenue annually
- Design and develop the solution architecture for cloud data-enabled solutions and analytical platforms
- Engage effectively with client stakeholders and delivery teams to align technical solutions to the desired client outcomes
- Guide and mentor technical delivery teams consisted of talented Slalom consultants
What You'll Bring
- 7-10+ years' experience in data engineering or data warehousing with at least 1 year in a data architect role
- 1+ year experience developing cloud data solutions using Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Snowflake
- Expertise in developing enterprise data management solutions including moving clients from on-prem to the cloud and modernizing data lake/warehouse environments
- Strong experience in data architecture concepts such as data modeling, workflow management, ETL, ELT, and real-time streaming
- Experience in developing data engineering solutions using open source and proprietary cloud data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Glue and Dataflow
