Role: Systems Integration/Data Integration Developer
Remote Position

Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description:

* Work closely with project teams to define the best integration solutions to meet business, functional and data requirements.
* Configure complex data imports and process configurations across multiple upstream and downstream systems within the business
* Act as a lead KAFKA architect to design data integration patterns and solutions (Data Streaming) to ensure successful product implementations
* Experience administering event-driven components including Confluent and Kafka
* Project experience on the environment supported along with the tools used, size of the environments, number of nodes/clusters, and messages processed
* Expert in installing and maintaining Confluent Platform components including: Apache Kafka; Confluent: Control Center, Schema Registry, Replicator, and Security Plugins
* Perform Kafka security authentication, authorization and encryption; including high-level, operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for Kafka clusters
* Manage multi-nodes Kafka cluster environments: handle all Kafka environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup and performance tuning
* Define logical sequence of integration activities to ensure successful delivery
* Create technology solutions to support critical business application to high levels of availability, stability, and performance
* Develop, deliver and support critical data integration capabilities for the enterprise using Agile methodologies
* Provide oversight and guidance during design, configure, and test phases of projects
* Work with technology and business stakeholders to achieve successful implementation
* Coordinate with Technical architects, Product managers, Product Owners, Application developers, Customer personnel and other SMEs to ensure that required features and modifications within releases have effective data integration solutions implemented
* Provide analysis and design reviews to other departments to avoid duplication of effort in solving similar application requirements and issues with other products
* Work with product development teams, architects and senior designers to develop and document concise architectural requirements
* Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating emerging cutting-edge data integration capabilities into company products
* Take initiative and provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering, computer sciences or related field preferred
* Five or more years of data integration experience with application architecture and/or product development experience
* Expert-level experience using KAFKA designing data integration solutions
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with setting up and configuration of Kafka brokers
* In-depth knowledge of Predictive Analytics, Statistical modeling, advanced mathematics, data integration concepts and tools
* Experience working with Agile software development life cycles
* Working knowledge or experience on AMQ, IBM MQ administration, Change Data Capture (CDC) software and mainframe environments is added advantage
* Experience working with containers (Docker or similar container runtime engines) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar)
* Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and leadership skills with good time management and ability to work with diverse teams

* Strong problem-solving skills for design, coordination and testing of applications
* Good communication skills to communicate with peers, customers, support personnel, application development personnel and management
* Good interpersonal skills for communicating with business unit personnel, customers and vendors
* Ability to work in a team environment, creating & maintaining formal and informal networks
