General Description:

This is a mid-level management position that provides administrative oversight to an academic division affording educational opportunities within available resources through the planning, coordination and implementation of an approved system for the provision of credit and non-credit courses that adhere to OSRHE policies and guidelines.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Master's degree

Five years work experience teaching post secondary education or management experience

Faculty qualifications in a program within the Health Professions Division or a directly related academic discipline

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated academic leadership including excellent written & oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and good judgment

Understanding of budget, planning, assessment, and personnel processes

Strong organizational and management skills

Ability to assess faculty & staff performance and provide appropriate feedback

Ability to work in a diverse campus community.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move objects.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with administration, faculty, staff, students, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to operate a computer, other office machinery and mobile devices to to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and fingers.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.

Work Hours:

8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday with Nights and Weekends as needed.
